Climate

The coldest months are from June to August, with winter temperatures ranging between 7°C and 20°C (44.6°F to 68°F). Summers are long and hot, with an average of 7 to 8 hours of sunshine per day—making it an ideal destination for outdoor activities and hunting adventures.
Our Story
Crafting Memorable Experiences
Born and raised in South Africa and spent most of my life growing up in Fort Beaufort, a small town in the Eastern Cape. I had the privilege of tagging along on hunts with my father and uncle and started hunting from a very young age. I fell in love with the hounds my uncle owned and I would go bushpig hunting every chance I got…even if it meant skipping school. Soon hunting became my passion. I knew then all I wanted to do was share my passion and guidance with other people and have them experience the thrill of hunting. I got my Professional Hunting Licence (Plains Game and Dangerous Game) and moved on to getting my Hunting Contractor (Outfitters licence) Hunt’sOn Safaris was born.
I was lucky to marry a woman who was born and raised on a farm who grew up with brothers who were all Professional Hunters themselves. Being a Professional Hunter means being away from home a lot and without her support and understanding for my passion Hunt’sOn Safaris would have been a difficult one to run. The best thing is that I get to go home to her and our two beautiful kids and share the wonderful and exciting stories of every hunt.
